To ensure accurate results, follow these preparation guideline:

    • Fasting: Not required since no contrast dye is used.
    • Clothing: Wear loose, comfortable clothing; you may need to change into a hospital gown.
    • Remove Metal Objects: Take off jewelry, earrings, dentures, or any metallic accessories near the neck and face.
    • Medical History:
Inform your doctor if you are pregnant.
If you have dental implants, pacemakers, or metal plates, let the radiologist know.
    • Medications: Take regular medications unless instructed otherwise by your doctor.
Since this is a plain (non-contrast) scan, the procedure is quick and requires minimal preparation.
