    Test Preparation

To ensure accurate results, follow these preparation guideline:

    • Fasting:
Usually not required for a plain (non-contrast) scan.
Some doctors may recommend 4–6 hours of fasting for better imaging.
    • Hydration:
Drink plenty of water before the scan unless instructed otherwise.
    • Clothing & Metal Objects:
Wear loose, comfortable clothing without metal parts.
Remove jewelry, eyeglasses, dentures, and metallic accessories to avoid image interference.
    • Pregnancy Alert:
Inform the technician if you are pregnant or might be pregnant, as CT scans use radiation.
    • Motion Control:
Stay still during the scan and follow breathing instructions for clear images.
