4,500.00

A CT Virtual Bronchoscopy is a non-invasive imaging technique that provides a detailed 3D view of the airways, trachea, and bronchi using High-Resolution CT (HRCT) and Non-Contrast CT (NCCT) scans. This is an alternative to conventional bronchoscopy, which requires inserting a flexible tube into the airways.

Test Preparation

To ensure accurate results, follow these preparation guideline:

  • Fasting:
4–6 hours of fasting is generally required, especially if contrast is used.
  • Hydration:
Drink plenty of water before and after the scan to help clear contrast (if applicable).
  • Contrast Dye Precautions (If Used):
Some scans may require an IV contrast injection for better visualization.
Inform your doctor if you have kidney disease, iodine allergies, or diabetes (especially if on Metformin).
Kidney function tests (creatinine levels) may be required before the scan.
  • Pregnancy Alert:
Inform the technician if you are pregnant or suspect pregnancy, as radiation exposure is involved.
  • Clothing & Metal Objects:
Wear comfortable, loose clothing without metal parts.
Remove jewelry, dentures, eyeglasses, or metallic accessories to avoid image interference.
  • Breathing Instructions:
You may be asked to hold your breath for a few seconds during the scan to avoid motion artifacts.
