A CT scan with additional contrast application for the upper and lower abdomen is a detailed imaging test used to examine the organs in the abdominal region, including the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, kidneys, intestines, bladder, and reproductive organs. The contrast dye helps in enhancing visibility, making it easier to detect:

  • Liver diseases, tumors, or infections
  • Gallstones, pancreatitis, or spleen abnormalities
  • Kidney stones, cysts, or urinary tract disorders
  • Abdominal infections, blockages, or inflammation
  • Cancerous or non-cancerous growths
