• Detect bacteria, viruses, or parasites causing infection
• Identify signs of malabsorption or inflammation
• Check for the presence of blood, mucus, or abnormal color/consistency
• Evaluate digestive disorders or gastrointestinal conditions
What the Test Involves:
• A small sample of stool is collected in a sterile container.
• The sample is examined for color, consistency, presence of blood or mucus, undigested food particles, ova/parasites, and pus cells.
• Microscopic, chemical, and sometimes microbiological analysis is conducted.
