The Cul.Sens. (Culture and Sensitivity) Stool Test is a laboratory test used to detect and identify pathogenic bacteria in the stool that may be causing gastrointestinal infections. Once the bacteria are isolated, sensitivity testing is performed to determine which antibiotics will effectively treat the infection. This test is essential in diagnosing conditions such as bacterial gastroenteritis and helps in guiding targeted antibiotic therapy.

    • Prevent the spread of contagious gastrointestinal infections

    • Avoid taking antibiotics, antacids, or anti-diarrheal medications 48–72 hours before the test, as these can interfere with the results.
