Aspergillus Antibodes – Igg & Igm, Serum

3,500.00

The Aspergillus Antibodies – IgG & IgM, Serum test is a blood test used to detect the presence of IgG and IgM antibodies against Aspergillus species — a type of fungus commonly found in the environment that can cause respiratory infections, particularly in immunocompromised individuals or those with preexisting lung conditions.
• IgG antibodies usually indicate chronic or past infection or ongoing exposure to Aspergillus (e.g., in Chronic Pulmonary Aspergillosis or Allergic Bronchopulmonary Aspergillosis).
• IgM antibodies typically suggest a recent or acute infection, potentially in the early stages of invasive aspergillosis.
This test helps differentiate between acute and chronic Aspergillus infections.
