The Anti-Soluble Liver Antigen (Anti-SLA) test is a blood test that detects antibodies directed against soluble liver antigen proteins. These antibodies are highly specific markers for autoimmune hepatitis (AIH), an immune-mediated inflammation of the liver.
The presence of Anti-SLA antibodies supports the diagnosis of autoimmune hepatitis and helps distinguish it from other liver diseases.
