X-RAY S I Joint Oblique

300.00

An X-ray SI Joint Oblique is a specialized imaging test used to view the sacroiliac (SI) joints — the joints connecting your spine to your pelvis — from an angled (oblique) position. This view helps provide a clearer and more detailed picture of the joint space and surrounding structures than a standard straight-on view.

The oblique view is especially helpful in detecting issues that might be missed in standard AP (frontal) images.

    Test Preparation

     Before the Test:
    • No special dietary or medication restrictions are usually required.
    • Inform the technician if you are pregnant or might be.
    • Remove all metal objects near the pelvic area (e.g., belts, zippers, buttons, jewelry) as they can interfere with the X-ray image.

     Clothing:
    • You may be asked to wear a hospital gown to keep the area clear.
    • Wear loose, comfortable clothing that’s easy to change out of if needed.
