An X-Ray Pelvis with Both Hips (AP) is an anteroposterior (AP) view X-ray that captures the entire pelvis, including both hip joints and the upper portions of the femur (thigh bones). This test provides a detailed look at the pelvic bones, hip joints, sacrum, and surrounding structures.

It is commonly done to evaluate:
• Fractures or dislocations of the pelvis or hips
• Osteoarthritis or other joint diseases
• Hip joint alignment or deformities
• Bone infections or tumors
• Post-surgical follow-up (e.g., hip replacements)
• Congenital or developmental conditions (especially in pediatric cases)
