X-RAY Loopogram

An X-Ray Loopogram is a specialized imaging test used to examine a urinary stoma (urostomy), particularly in patients who have undergone ileal conduit surgery (a urinary diversion procedure). The test involves injecting a contrast dye into the stoma (loop of bowel used for urine diversion), followed by a series of X-ray images.

This allows doctors to evaluate the loop of bowel, ureters, and kidney drainage, and check for:

• Blockages
• Leaks
• Narrowings (strictures)
• Urinary tract complications
