An X-Ray BMFT (Barium Meal Follow Through) is a diagnostic imaging test used to examine the small intestine (small bowel). This test helps detect conditions such as:

• Small bowel obstructions
• Crohn’s disease or inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)
• Tumors, ulcers, or strictures
• Malabsorption disorders

The procedure involves drinking a barium sulfate contrast solution, which coats the lining of the small intestine, allowing it to be clearly visible on X-ray images. A series of X-rays are taken at regular intervals as the barium moves through the digestive tract.
