Test Preparation
To ensure accurate results, follow these preparation guideline:
Fasting Requirement
• No food or drinks for at least 6-8 hours before the test (as instructed by your doctor).
• Only clear liquids (water, clear broth, tea, or apple juice) may be allowed the day before the test.

A clean colon is essential for accurate results. Your doctor may advise:

• Avoid gas-producing foods (beans, dairy, carbonated drinks) for 24-48 hours before the test.
• Light meals a day before the test, transitioning to only clear liquids the night before.
Clothing & Accessories
• Wear loose, comfortable clothing.
• You may need to change into a hospital gown.
• Remove jewellery, piercings, and any metal objects before the scan.
Medical Conditions & Pregnancy
• Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or suspect pregnancy, as X-rays involve radiation exposure.
• Tell your doctor if you have any bowel conditions (e.g., severe constipation, intestinal perforation, or recent surgery).
