An X-Ray of the Lumbar Spine (AP View) is a diagnostic imaging test that captures a front-facing (Anteroposterior – AP) X-ray of the lower back (lumbar spine). It helps evaluate:

  •  Lower back pain and stiffness
  •  Fractures or bone injuries
  •  Arthritis and degenerative changes
  •  Herniated or compressed discs
  •  Spinal deformities (e.g., scoliosis, lordosis, kyphosis)
  •  Infections or tumors in the spine

The lumbar spine consists of five vertebrae (L1-L5), which bear most of the body’s weight and are prone to injuries and degenerative changes
